Your wedding day is the happiest and most special day of your life, which is why you want it to be perfect and all run as smoothly as possible. Quite often, people have an idea of their perfect wedding day long before a date is set or even on the cards. However, when the time comes where you need to start planning and making arrangements, it can all seem a little stressful, which is why we wanted to give you a few tips on planning the perfect wedding and how to ensure that everything is done as stress-free as possible!
This is a great way to stay organised. At the beginning of the planning process, you should make a list of all the things you need to do, from finding and booking the perfect venue, all the way down to catering. There are so many elements to organising the perfect wedding day, and having a checklist of each and every thing that needs to be taken care of, and ticking them off as you go along, will help you to be very organised and put your mind at ease knowing that certain things are taken care of and you’ve not missed anything out.
Basically, the earlier you start planning, the less stressful it’s going to be. As you know, there are lots and lots of things that make up the perfect wedding, and sorting these out sooner rather than later will reduce a lot of stress and panic and prevent you from having to sort anything out last minute. Furthermore, the earlier you start planning and making arrangements, the more likely you are to get everything done exactly how you want it. This is because if you leave things too late, they may no longer be available, or perhaps it won’t be possible to have something done the way you would like. Take the venue for example – you might have a dream location for your wedding, but if you don’t book it early, it may not be available on your chosen date, as they get booked up very quickly.
We strongly advise setting a budget before doing anything else. You can’t make other plans if you don’t have a budget, otherwise you won’t know what you’re working with and whether or not certain things are possible or within your price range. It’s easy to get carried away and forget little things that need to be paid for, and if you don’t budget correctly, it can prevent everything from going to plan.
The best way to get a feel of a wedding venue, is to go out and visit it. The experience of being there is entirely different to just looking at photographs. Of course, if you have somewhere in mind, or have been researching and found a few potential venues that you like the look of, that’s great – add these on your list of places to visit! Going to all of your potential venues will help you to make the right decision and find the perfect fit for your desired wedding. Furthermore, if you do this fairly early on in the process, it can also create a clearer vision for planning other elements of the wedding. For example, decor, colour schemes, guest capacity, and much more.
If you are really struggling and in need of some extra help to take some of the weight off your shoulders, you can always seek help from a professional wedding planner. Basically, what this means, is that you will explain to the wedding planner exactly how you would like everything to be, and with their knowledge and experience they are able to offer any advice as well as make all of the necessary plans and organisations so that you don’t have to worry about it. It means that come your wedding day, you will be stress-free as everything will already be organised and in place for you.
